Job summary

Alpha is seeking a Youth Development Specialist to lead K-8 life-skills workshops and drive student motivation through one-on-one coaching across multiple campuses. You will use Coachbot analytics and Alpha incentives to help every student hit weekly goals and master essential skills.

The role is in-person at Alpha campuses with relocation support and a strong emphasis on mentorship, feedback, and maintaining a high standard for student engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any subject.
• At least 3 years working directly with K-8 students.
• Comfortable letting adaptive learning software deliver the academic instruction while you own motivation and life-skills coaching.
• A personal record of high achievement in academics, athletics, or professional settings.
• Stage presence strong enough to hold a room of 12-year-olds for an hour without raising your voice.
• Legal right to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Lead one-hour life-skills workshops for K-8 cohorts on public speaking, focus, and feedback.
• Run daily 1:1 and small-group motivation sessions to push students to achieve weekly app goals.
• Administer the Test2Pass mastery assessment and re-coach as needed.
• Adapt the workshop playbook and create new sessions for different age groups.
• Be the consistent adult who upholds standards and serves as a trusted mentor.
