Job summary

Alpha is hiring a Career Coach to lead life-skills workshops for K-8 students on public speaking, focus, and feedback. You will split time between group workshops and 1:1 motivation sessions, using Coachbot analytics and Alpha incentives to push every student to 100% of their weekly goals.

You will administer mastery assessments, adapt materials for different ages, and serve as the trusted adult who holds a high standard. Relocation support is provided for in-person campuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in any subject.
• At least 3 years working directly with K-8 students.
• Comfortable letting adaptive learning software deliver instruction while you coach motivation and life-skills.
• Stage presence strong enough to command a room of 12-year-olds for an hour without raising your voice.
• Legal right to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Run one-hour life-skills workshops for K-8 cohorts on public speaking, focus, and feedback.
• Lead daily 1:1 and small-group motivation sessions using Coachbot analytics and Alpha incentives (currency, leaderboards).
• Administer the Test2Pass mastery assessment and re-coach until passed.
• Adapt workshop playbook for different ages and gaps.
• Be the trusted adult who upholds high standards.
