Job summary
SimVentions is seeking a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer for on-site work at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD. The role requires an ACTIVE Secret clearance and supports acquisition, development, and sustainment of aviation programs.

Qualifications
- At least two years of software or systems engineering experience.
- Knowledge of avionics systems.
- Experience with DOD-STD-2167A/MIL-STD-498/IEEE 12207.
- Systems Software, MBSE, or systems safety & reliability experience.
- Experience with military aircraft avionic systems and software.
- Experience with Agile software development processes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain software requirements.
- Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
- Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
- Conduct analysis of software defects.
- Coordinate with cybersecurity subject Matter experts.
- Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs/SSRs/PDRs/CDRs/TRRs).
- Support the ECP process and contract deliverables (SOWs/CDRLs).
- Develop IGCEs and supporting cost analyses.
- Support evaluations of Contractor proposals.
