Job summary

SimVentions is seeking a junior to mid-level software-focused Systems Engineer for on-site work at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD. The role involves software systems engineering for acquisition, development, and sustainment of aviation programs, with future funding and a start no earlier than September 1, 2026. An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required, with potential for Top Secret after start.

U.S. Citizenship is required.

Qualifications

• At least two years experience performing software or systems engineering activities.
• Knowledge of avionics systems.
• Active Secret Clearance required; Top Secret possible after start; U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software requirements.
• Review and evaluate vendor software specifications.
• Coordinate with vendors on software and system integration.
• Conduct analysis of software defects.
• Coordinate with cybersecurity subject Matter experts.
• Participate in System Engineering Technical Reviews (SRRs, SSRs, PDRs, CDRs, TRRs).
• Support the Engineering Change Proposal (ECP) process.
• Participate in Agile and SAFe team processes.
• Prepare and review Statements of Work (SOWs) and Contract Deliverable Requirements Lists (CDRLs).
• Develop Independent Government Cost Estimates (IGCEs).
• Support technical evaluations of Contractor proposals.
