Job summary

JCW Group in Austin, TX, is seeking an IT Systems Administrator for an on-site, contract role. You will provide day-to-day hardware and software support for local and remote staff while contributing to a range of IT functions.

The ideal candidate is proficient in Windows and macOS, with strong experience in Microsoft Office 365 apps, Excel, OneNote, OneDrive and SharePoint, plus solid hardware troubleshooting and documentation skills.

Qualifications

• Full proficiency with the Windows and macOS operating systems.
• Experience supporting the Microsoft Office Suite.
• Extensive experience using Excel, OneNote, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
• Thorough understanding of PC hardware and troubleshooting techniques.
• Documentation skills to write instructions and record troubleshooting techniques and solutions for others to follow.
• Ability to convey highly technical information to both technical and nontechnical personnel.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and spoken.
• High level of accountability, with the ability to carry detailed, technical initiatives from start to finish with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Deliver day-to-day technical support to local and remote employees, addressing hardware and software issues on their laptops and mobile devices across Windows, Mac, iPhone, and Android.
• Maintain passwords, data integrity, and file system security for the desktop environment.
• Assist with a variety of IT functions, including hardware and software inventory and the rollout of new systems to end users and groups.
• Handle asset management and inventory management, as well as the shipping and receiving of hardware.
• Assist in maintaining network equipment, phones, and teleconference equipment.
• Help support computer room and data center operations.
