Job summary

Oak View Group seeks an entry-level Desktop Support Technician to join our IT team at Moody Center in Austin, TX. You will be the first contact for employees, troubleshooting desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices, while supporting events with hands-on IT assistance.

This part-time role pays $25.00 per hour. Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree or IT certs are preferred, with 1–2 years of relevant experience valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical certifications are a plus.
• Associate’s degree or CompTIA A+/Network+ preferred; 1–2 years IT experience valued.
• Experience with Windows and macOS, Microsoft 365 apps, and standard PC hardware.

Responsibilities

• IT Support: Provide Tier 1 support for on-site employees and events.
• Hardware/Software Setup: Configure and deploy computer systems using imaging and provisioning.
• Network Troubleshooting: Assist with VPN setup and Wi‑Fi configurations.
• Collaboration: Escalate complex issues to Tier 2/3 or vendors as needed.
• Flexible schedule: Include early mornings, days, evenings, holidays, and long workdays as required.
• Physical requirements: Lift/move heavy objects and set up equipment at various spaces.
