Job summary
The University of Georgia is seeking an IT Professional Assistant to provide first-level technical support for Windows and macOS systems, mobile devices, and printers in an on-site lab environment in Athens. You will contribute to desktop standards, security practices, and user assistance for staff and faculty.
Responsibilities include evaluating endpoint issues, deploying updates, and assisting with equipment provisioning.
Qualifications
- Windows Server 2012/2016 and Windows 10/11 enterprise support.
- Experience with BeyondTrust and endpoint security practices.
- Familiarity with PowerShell and basic scripting/automation.
- Hardware troubleshooting, printing support, and mobile device assistance.
- Understanding of virtualization and cloud services related to end-user support (AWS).
- Experience with Zoom, Adobe applications, and basic A/V setup.
Responsibilities
- Provide first-level support for Windows, macOS, and mobile devices.
- Escalate complex issues to senior staff as appropriate.
- Maintain IT policies, security practices, and compliance.
- Assist with routine deployments, updates, and device configurations.
- Help with hardware/software purchases and asset management.
- Collaborate with staff, faculty, and teams for service delivery.
