Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of computer systems and troubleshooting.
• Some familiarity with Windows and/or macOS operating systems.
• Experience with common software applications (e.g., Microsoft Office, web browsers, email clients).
• Strong communication skills and ability to assist users with varying levels of technical knowledge.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Reliable transportation and ability to work on-site in Lynchburg, VA.
• Previous IT support or help desk experience preferred.
• Ticketing systems experience preferred.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, and basic network issues.
• Set up, configure, and maintain workstations, printers, and other IT equipment.
• Assist with user account management, including password resets and access permissions.
• Document support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions in a ticketing system.
• Maintain an organized inventory of IT assets, equipment, and supplies.
• Escalate complex or unresolved issues to the IT manager when appropriate.
• Assist with routine system maintenance, including software updates and backups.
• Troubleshoot basic hardware, peripheral, and connectivity issues.
• Provide support with a professional, customer-focused approach.
• Perform other duties as assigned
