Job summary

QuEra Computing in Boston, MA is seeking a mid-level IT Specialist to join our on-site IT team. The role covers frontline support for desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices, along with user access and onboarding/offboarding.

You'll support Zoom Rooms and office AV, maintain on‑prem networks, and assist with IT projects. Strong customer service and problem‑solving are essential, as is collaboration with colleagues to keep daily operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Associate or higher in IT/CS or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years in IT help desk or desktop support.
• Hands-on experience supporting macOS and Windows laptops/desktops.
• Strong customer service, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
• Familiarity with LAN/Wi‑Fi, DNS, DHCP, and Jira.

Responsibilities

• Serve as first point of contact for IT support and resolve hardware/software issues.
• Manage user accounts and access across Google Workspace and Zoom Rooms.
• Set up and maintain Zoom Rooms hardware and AV systems.
• Support on‑prem IT infrastructure including LAN/Wi‑Fi and printers.
• Escalate complex problems to senior staff as needed.
• Document incidents and solutions in the ticketing system.
