Job summary

The National Biomedical Research Institute (NBRI) at UC Davis seeks an IT Specialist to deliver Tier 1/2 support and endpoint engineering for the NBRI community. You will deploy, secure, and refresh Windows and macOS devices using Intune, Autopilot, BigFix and JAMF, and manage AD/Entra ID with incident documentation in ServiceNow.

You will participate in short and long-term IT projects, support lab instruments and research equipment, and ensure compliance with campus security policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in IT related field.
• Experience researching, planning, testing, documenting and resolving incidents.
• Experience with Windows 10/11, macOS deployment and support in enterprise settings.
• Experience with endpoint management tools, AD/Entra ID, and ServiceNow ticketing.
• Experience with network basics, VPN, MFA, and mobile device management.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1/2 IT support and endpoint engineering for research community.
• Document and manage incidents and service requests in ServiceNow.
• Deploy, configure, secure and refresh Windows and macOS devices using Intune, Autopilot, BigFix and JAMF.
• Maintain device configurations, OS deployments, patch/remediation, and policy enforcement.
• Administer user accounts in Active Directory and Entra ID; support servers/VMs and research equipment.
