Job summary

Northern Clearing Inc. is seeking an IT Specialist in Ashland, WI to join our Information Technology team. You’ll troubleshoot hardware and software, maintain systems, and support end users to keep productivity high and infrastructure running smoothly.

Ideal candidates have 2–5 years of IT support experience, solid Windows knowledge, and familiarity with AD/Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and networking basics. This on-site role offers a competitive hourly wage and benefits.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of IT support, helpdesk, or similar role.
• Solid understanding of Windows OS and common business software.

Responsibilities

• Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 IT support across the organization.
• Manage user lifecycle: onboarding, offboarding, access changes, licensing.
• Troubleshoot connectivity: Wi-Fi, VPN, local network issues.
• Monitor helpdesk tickets and escalate when needed.
• Assist with routine maintenance, patching, updates for workstations/servers.
• Enforce IT security best practices (password policies, MFA, SSO, endpoint protection).
