Addison Group is seeking an Infrastructure Specialist in Chantilly, VA to provide end-user desktop support on-site, handle Tier 1-2 tickets, and participate in technology implementation projects.

The role requires 8+ years of technical experience, a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, and proficiency with Windows and virtualized environments. ITSM experience and strong customer service skills are essential; willingness to work extended hours or on-call may be required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of technical experience.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Experience working in Windows and virtualized environments.
• Ability to utilize an ITSM system for change and incident management.
• Microsoft training and related certifications are a plus.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational and customer service skills.
• Ability to work flexible/extended hours when requested or participate in an on-call schedule.
• Able to work both independently and effectively with remote team members as necessary.

Responsabilités

• Create, review and triage Tier 1-2 tickets on a timely basis.
• Project work related to the implementation of new technology tools.
• Provide end-user desktop support via remote tools or in-person visits.
• Communicate effectively with users to understand issues and update on ticket status.
• Install and configure new computers, monitors, and printers.
• Assist with system administration tasks including server upgrades and patches.
• Create clear process and system diagrams and supporting documentation.
• Coordinate with vendors for software and firmware upgrades.
• Attend meetings and provide status updates to project participants and leadership.
• Assist with other projects and tasks as required.
• Identify issues requiring escalation and route appropriately.
• Develop solutions for recurring issues and verify implementation.
• Document and update identified issues and procedures.
• Train and mentor junior team members.
