Job summary

Decagon is seeking an IT Engineer for our New York office to own identity and access management, end‑point administration, and SaaS operations. You’ll support the global workforce, manage Okta and the core SaaS stack, and drive automation to scale IT. This hands-on role requires problem solving and strong collaboration.

You’ll contribute to security and compliance, document architecture, and continuously improve IT operations as the company grows.

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of IT systems, endpoint, or identity engineering experience.
• Hands-on Okta administration.
• Knowledge of SSO, SAML, OIDC, and SCIM.
• Experience with Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, Rippling, and Claude.
• Mac endpoint management via Rippling or similar MDM.
• Scripting in Python or Bash with real automation shipped.
• Strong troubleshooting across identity, networking, and SaaS integrations.
• Clear written communication and documentation.
• Willingness to work in New York office five days a week.

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site IT support engineer for our New York office, resolving hardware and access issues.
• Administer and evolve our core SaaS stack: Okta, Google Workspace, Slack, Notion, and similar tools.
• Own the employee identity lifecycle: onboarding, off-boarding, access changes via Okta.
• Configure and maintain SSO, SAML, OIDC, and SCIM integrations for new apps.
• Own Mac endpoint management through Rippling MDM, including policy config and patching.
• Automate recurring IT tasks using Python, Bash, and automation tools.
• Support security/compliance: least-privilege, MFA, SOC 2 documentation.
• Write and maintain run-books and architecture docs for team usability.
• Identify opportunities to streamline IT operations at scale.
