Job summary

Jacobs seeks a Construction Project Manager to lead hyperscale data center builds in Spartanburg, SC. This on-site role requires directing multi-disciplined teams through preconstruction to commissioning, ensuring safety, quality, and adherence to schedule and budget.

The successful candidate will manage scope, cost, and risk while coordinating with owners, design teams, contractors, and utilities. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, architecture, or related field, or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years in construction project management on large-scale projects.
• Minimum 4 years as PM/Assistant PM on projects ≥ $50M.
• Experience across all phases: preconstruction to closeout.
• Strong scheduling, contract administration, and controls skills.
• Experience with change orders, cost controls, risk mitigation, and payments.
• Excellent communication with executives, clients, and teams.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification required.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of hyperscale data center projects from concept to completion.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk to meet objectives.
• Provide day-to-day construction oversight across all phases.
• Coordinate among architects, engineers, contractors, and clients.
• Facilitate meetings, track actions, and report status to stakeholders.
• Analyze performance and generate reports on schedule, cost, safety, and risk.
• Review drawings, specs, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Lead change management, including negotiations and approvals.
• Review invoices and cost forecasts for accuracy.
• Ensure safety, quality, and compliance on site.
