Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead hyperscale data center construction from preconstruction through commissioning. This on-site role in Spartanburg demands strong leadership across architects, engineers, contractors, and clients to deliver complex facilities safely, on schedule, and within budget.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years in construction PM for large-scale projects, 4+ years as PM for $50M+ works, OSHA certification, and proficiency with Procore,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 8 years in construction project management for large-scale projects.
• At least 4 years in PM/Assistant PM leading projects ≥ $50 million.
• Experience managing all phases of delivery: preconstruction to closeout.
• Strong understanding of methods, materials, scheduling, contract admin, and project controls.
• Experience managing contractor performance, change orders, cost controls, risk mitigation, and payment reviews.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with stakeholders.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification required.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of hyperscale data center construction projects from concept to completion.
• Manage scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk to ensure objectives are achieved.
• Provide day‑to‑day construction oversight across all project phases.
• Coordinate activities among architects, engineers, contractors, utilities, commissioning teams, and client representatives.
• Facilitate meetings, document minutes, track actions, and communicate status to stakeholders.
• Review contracts, drawings, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
• Lead change management including evaluation, negotiation, and approval of changes and claims.
• Review and approve contractor invoices, payment applications, and cost forecasts.
• Monitor construction activities to ensure safety, quality, and compliance.
