Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a skilled Installer for building automation and HVAC/Controls systems. This on-site role involves installing temperature control systems, wiring, conduit, and related hardware on customer sites, with regular travel and occasional overnight stays.

You will interpret control drawings, prepare for installations, maintain inventory, and ensure high customer satisfaction by accurate troubleshooting and timely reporting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; typically 2–5 years HVAC/Controls experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and handheld devices.
• Knowledge of low voltage electricity, electronics, direct digital controls.
• Valid driver’s license for at least 12 months; clean driving record.
• Experience with DDC controls systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install building automation systems.
• Interpret control drawings; install temperature control systems including conduit, enclosures, wiring and end devices.
• Prepare for on-site installation by reviewing layout, planning materials and coordinating on-site work.
• Maintain inventory, company equipment, and document activities.
• Complete daily paperwork and reports on each job; keep files organized.
• Submit required paperwork and reports promptly.
• Serve as direct customer contact and service products/equipment on projects; diagnose and repair as needed.
• Stay current on Trane DDC products and installation methods
• Inspect and maintain vehicles and company assets; maintain safety standards.
• Travel regularly with occasional overnight stays.
• Demonstrate teamwork and flexibility for overtime when required.
