Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Controls Installation Technician II to install building automation and temperature control systems on client sites.

You will interpret drawings, prepare for on-site work, maintain inventory, and document all activities while ensuring safety and customer satisfaction.

This role requires 5+ years in HVAC/controls, valid driver's license, and willingness to travel with occasional overnight stays; position is on-site.

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or equivalent; 5+ years in HVAC/controls preferred.
• Technical training or school preferred.
• Proficient with MS Office and handheld devices.
• Knowledge of low voltage electronics and direct digital controls.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
• Experience with DDC controls preferred.

Responsibilities

• Install building automation systems.
• Interpret control drawings, plans and specs to install temperature control systems.
• Prepare for on-site installation by reviewing layout and coordinating with trades.
• Maintain stock and document all activities.
• Complete job paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
• Represent the company as the primary customer contact and service equipment on site.
• Stay current on Trane products and direct digital control systems.
• Inspect vehicles and maintain tools and equipment.
• Enforce safety standards and manage assets.
• Travel with possible overnight stays; overtime as required.
