Job summary

Henderson Group in Oakmont, PA seeks an on-site HR Business Partner for a manufacturing plant of about 80 employees. You will partner with plant management and spend significant time on the floor with hourly and salaried staff.

Responsibilities include coaching leaders, handling employee relations, supporting union labor matters, and driving recruiting, onboarding, and retention locally. Local candidates only; relocation not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
• 5+ years in HR within manufacturing or warehousing.
• Experience in union environments preferred.
• Ability to handle sensitive matters independently.
• Proven trust-building across shop floor to office.
• HRIS experience, implementation support a plus.

Responsibilities

• Serve as single HR point for a plant of ~80 employees.
• Coach leaders on employee relations, performance, and conflict.
• Support union grievances and labor relations with corporate HR.
• Lead site recruiting, onboarding, and retention.
• Ensure compliance with employment law and company policies.
• Maintain visibility on production floor for HR access.
• Assist rollout of HR systems and process improvements.
• Report site trends and issues to HR leadership.
