Job summary

Zaddy Solutions is seeking an on-site HR Business Partner for a Pittsburgh-region plant to lead HR activities for ~80 employees. You will partner with management on employee relations, performance discussions, and labor relations, while driving recruiting, onboarding, and policy compliance.

The role requires deep HR experience in manufacturing, strong presence on the shop floor, and the ability to navigate union-related matters. Local candidates only; relocation not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 5+ years in HR within manufacturing or warehousing.
• Union environment experience preferred; capable candidates without it will be considered.
• Ability to handle sensitive employee matters independently and escalate when needed.
• Builds trust with floor staff to front office.
• HRIS experience a plus, especially for implementation.
• Must be local; relocation is not offered.

Responsibilities

• Act as the single point of HR contact for a plant of roughly 80 employees
• Coach plant leaders through employee relations issues, performance conversations, and conflict
• Work alongside corporate HR on union grievances and labor relations
• Drive site-level recruiting, onboarding, and retention
• Keep the site in line with employment law and company policy
• Stay visible on the production floor so employees know who to come to
• Help roll out HR systems and process improvements
• Report site trends and concerns up to HR leadership
