Job summary

EFCO Corp., Des Moines, IA, is seeking an HR Generalist to lead day-to-day HR operations across benefits, recruitment, employee relations, and training. The role requires a well-rounded HR professional who can handle multiple responsibilities and support team members and management.

You will administer benefits, support onboarding, maintain HRIS data, track HR metrics, ensure compliance with labor laws, and partner with management on workforce initiatives.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of generalist HR experience in a corporate environment.
• Experience with multiple states’ employment laws and compliance.
• Union experience is a plus and an understanding of labor relations.

Responsibilities

• Administer benefits programs, including health insurance, renewals, and leaves.
• Partner with recruiters and managers throughout recruitment and onboarding.
• Address employee inquiries, support investigations, and track HR metrics.
• Support performance management processes and employee development initiatives.
• Provide payroll-related administrative support and compliance activities.
