Job summary

C&S Wholesale Grocers in Stockton, CA is hiring a Human Resources Representative for a full-time, on-site role. You will provide administrative HR support to a warehouse unit, partnering with HR Business Partners to drive onboarding, performance management, and employee engagement.

Key duties include orientation, file maintenance, I-9 compliance, leave and accommodation support, and assisting with HR programs.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of Human Resources experience preferred.
• Hands-on experience navigating California and federal leave regulations, including CFRA, PDL, and FMLA, preferred.
• Experience facilitating the ADA interactive process and managing return-to-work and accommodation cases preferred.
• Proficiency in written and verbal communication in Spanish is a plus.
• Experience working in warehousing, distribution, or manufacturing preferred.
• The ability to work with a high volume of employees.
• A strong internal and external customer service focus.
• Effective verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
• The ability to work independently when required, as well as a drive to succeed and a self-starter mindset.
• The ability to work collaboratively.
• The ability to identify and handle priority and sensitive issues with discretion and a commitment to confidentiality.
• The ability to serve as a main point of contact for frontline warehouse employees and site leadership regarding leave and accommodation inquiries.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and facilitate new hire orientation.
• Maintain employee files and ensure compliance with work eligibility (I-9, postings).
• Assist with HR programs supporting business objectives and KPIs.
• Support HR initiatives: talent management, training, succession planning, workforce planning, performance reviews.
• Coordinate HR initiatives that enhance engagement, performance, and retention (surveys, events, recognition).
• Assist HR Business Partners with employee relations investigations.
• Support leave of absence and accommodation matters, including ADA process and return-to-work cases.
• Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information.
