Job summary

Paylocity is seeking an Implementation Consultant I to support small business clients by configuring solutions to meet unique needs. You’ll start with a detailed needs analysis, tailor system setups, and ensure data conversion accuracy as you transition clients to our Client Services team.

This in-office role requires detail orientation, excellent client-facing skills, and the ability to manage multiple implementations with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 1+ years in a Customer Service or Customer interfacing role.
• 1+ years in HCM implementation preferred.
• Bachelor's degree strongly preferred; or an associate degree with relevant experience, or a high school diploma/equivalent with at least five (5) years of experience in HCM.
• Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication with a customer-focused mindset.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; ability to quickly adapt to new software and utilize Excel functions (VLOOKUP, Pivot tables).
• Strong problem-solving and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Act as the client’s trusted advisor, ensuring exceptional experiences during implementation.
• Provide smooth transition and post-implementation support, including system maintenance and issue resolution.
• Assist clients in data migration, mapping, and validation for accurate data integration into the HCM software.
• Collaborate with clients to gather and analyze business requirements related to payroll, HR, time and labor.
• Review configuration with clients to ensure alignment with needs and optimal system use.
• Coordinate with sales, product SMEs, and project managers to deliver high-quality implementations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve implementation issues, escalating when necessary.
