Job summary

Paylocity is seeking an Implementation Consultant I for an in-office role at our Rochester, NY location. You will support small business clients by configuring solutions, conducting needs analyses, and tailoring system setups to improve efficiency and reporting capabilities.

You will ensure accurate data conversion, validate results with clients, and provide hands-on support through transitions to our Client Services team. Strong communication and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of Customer Service or Customer interfacing role.
• 1+ years of HCM implementation experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred; however, candidates with an associate degree and relevant experience, or a high school diploma/equivalent with at least five (5) years of experience in HCM, will also be considered.
• Strong customer-focused mindset throughout the implementation process.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; quick adaptation to new software platforms.

Responsibilities

• Act as client’s trusted advisor, ensuring exceptional customer experiences during the implementation process; facilitate meetings and maintain communications.
• Provide smooth transition and post-implementation support, system maintenance, and issue resolution.
• Assist clients in data migration, data mapping, and data validation for accurate data integration into the HCM software.
• Collaborate with clients to gather and analyze business requirements related to payroll, HR, time, and labor in HCM.
• Review configuration with the client to ensure alignment with needs and optimal system utilization.
• Collaborate with sales, product SMEs and project managers to deliver high‑quality implementations.
• Troubleshoot and resolve implementation‑related matters; escalate critical concerns when necessary.
