Job summary

Nutrien is recruiting for an entry-level Agricultural Sales position to join Nutrien Ag Solutions in La Porte City, IA. This full-time, on-site role focuses on developing prospects, serving growers, and expanding sales of agricultural inputs.

Ideal candidates have a university degree or 5+ years in agriculture; 2+ years in the industry with chemical application and strong Excel skills are preferred. On-the-job training provided.

Qualifications

• University degree preferred; 5+ years agriculture experience in lieu of degree.
• 2+ years' experience in the agriculture industry and chemicals application.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop new prospects and interact with growers to increase agricultural inputs sales and meet sales goals.
• Assure customer satisfaction with on-time delivery and product quality.
• Develop and implement strategies to increase sales of proprietary products.
• Consult with growers on agricultural issues and provide actions to resolve issues.
• Perform initial credit review to understand credit risk and inform credit limits.
• Collect outstanding accounts receivable from customers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
