Job summary

The Freeman Company (TFC) Brands’ Event & Exhibit Services in New York, NY seeks a part-time dock lead to supervise show-site freight labor and lead smaller shows. You will assign personnel, ensure safe loading/unloading, and maintain quality client service.

Requirements include a high school diploma, 2 years of trade show experience, strong communication skills, and travel 25–50% as needed. In-office/show-site duties apply.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of trade show or related experience is required.
• Demonstrated problem solving and interpersonal skills.
• Must be able to work in a team environment while being an independent thinker.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Familiarity with safety and security measures for proper care of an operation.
• Should be familiar with Office software applications including but not limited to email, Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Lead dock labor at show site by assigning qualified personnel to perform work.
• Adhere to safe operations practices to reduce and control safety violations.
• Lead loading and unloading show site dock operations at show site.
• Interact with customers, sales, and operations staff to provide the best service.
• Ensure equipment and tools are in place and ready for use; report needs.
• Follow show site hours and labor scheduling.
• Prepare payroll forms and time cards for hours worked on shows.
• Participate in safety and customer service meetings.
