Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to explain complex information in clear, simple language.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple systems and priorities.
• Ability to work on-site, moving between hospital floors and meeting patients in their rooms.

Responsibilities

• Travel between hospital floors to meet uninsured and underinsured patients in their rooms to review financial needs and available resources.
• Screen for potential eligibility for Medicaid, Marketplace coverage, hospital financial assistance, and other programs.
• Help patients complete applications and gather required documents.
• Explain coverage options, application steps, and next steps clearly.
• Discuss patient responsibility and available payment options with care and respect.
• Track application status and document activity accurately.
• Protect patient privacy and coordinate with clinical and revenue cycle teams.
• Balance compassionate service with accuracy and productivity in a fast-paced hospital setting.
