Responsibilities include coordinating with Patient Access and revenue cycle teams, ensuring privacy, and maintaining compassionate, accurate service in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Compassion and professionalism when discussing sensitive personal and financial information.
• Ability to explain complex information in clear, simple language.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple systems and priorities.
• Ability to navigate and work efficiently across multiple systems with ease.
• Ability to work on-site, move regularly between multiple hospital floors, and meet with patients in their rooms throughout the day.

Responsibilities

• Travel between hospital floors to meet uninsured or underinsured patients in their rooms and review financial needs.
• Screen for Medicaid, Marketplace, hospital financial assistance, and other programs.
• Assist patients with applications and required documents.
• Explain coverage options, steps, and next steps clearly to patients.
• Discuss patient responsibility and payment options; support collection respectfully.
• Track application status and follow up on missing information.
