Job summary

Canon USA in Horsham, PA seeks a Field Service Technician to diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system issues and to service Canon equipment to standards. This customer-facing role requires travel, shift work, on-call rotations, and the ability to obtain required clearances.

You will maintain technical information and Field Service Reports, support multiple product groups, and provide timely, accurate maintenance and problem resolution in both shop and on-site environments.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience with 1–2 years related experience.
• Basic understanding of internet environments and ability to complete the PDIF new-hire class.
• Ability to travel with valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Willingness to work in a 24/7 environment with shift work and on-call rotations.
• Must obtain security/clearances required by customers to enter premises.
• Must lift up to 50 pounds and be active more than 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose basic mechanical, software, network, and system failures using established procedures.
• Service and repair designated equipment to Canon standards and specifications.
• Maintain working knowledge of multiple product groups and troubleshoot accordingly.
• Meet customer demands with efficient, responsive, and accurate maintenance.
• Maintain technical information, Field Service Reports, Expense Reports, and Canon property.
• Provide direction to less experienced technicians and escalate issues as needed.
• Provide solutions for escalated technical and customer service issues for any territory.
