Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a System Administrator to develop and implement Windows- and Linux-based engineering solutions within a government software hosting facility.

This on-site role at the NAVAIR base in PAX River, MD requires an ACTIVE Secret clearance with potential to obtain Top Secret after start. The position is future funded and not expected to begin before September 1, 2026, with responsibilities spanning deployment, maintenance, security, and supporting DoD guidance.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance required with ability to obtain Top Secret after start.
• Experience with RMF compliance including STIG and ACAS scanning.
• Windows or Linux operating environment certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for government hosting facility.
• Deploy and maintain physical and virtual hardware, including VMs and containers.
• Perform maintenance and configuration changes on physical/virtual hosts.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware/software on servers/workstations/IT equipment.
• Maintain system backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions.
• Deploy and maintain software applications.
• Troubleshoot technical issues.
• Maintain documentation (knowledge base, incident actions, system configurations).
• Provide technical support and guidance to customers.
