Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. seeks a System Administrator to develop and implement Windows- and Linux-based solutions in a government hosting facility. On-site at the NAVAIR base in Pax River, MD, the role requires an active clearance and ability to upgrade to TS clearance.

Responsibilities include deploying hardware and VMs, maintaining backups, managing access, and supporting applications while ensuring DoD security standards and Agile collaboration.

Qualifications

• Active Security+ certification required or in progress.
• Experience with RMF compliance, STIG and ACAS scanning.
• Windows or Linux operating environment certification.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for government hosting environments.
• Deploy and maintain hardware infrastructure, VMs and containers.
• Perform routine maintenance and configuration on hosts.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot servers, workstations, and IT equipment.
• Maintain backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions.
• Deploy and maintain software applications.
• Troubleshoot technical issues and provide user guidance.
• Keep documentation: knowledge base, configurations, incident actions.
• Provide customer support and best-practices guidance.
• Ensure DoD guidance security posture; monitor systems continuously.
• Participate in Agile project planning; provide on-prem networking support.
