Job summary

CLAAS is seeking a Resident Diesel Technician in Jamestown, ND. The role involves on-site diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance of CLAAS equipment, with customer-facing responsibilities and travel across the region.

Applicants should have an Ag Diesel Technology degree or equivalent, and 3+ years in a field service role for agricultural equipment. A strong focus on customer satisfaction and ability to work autonomously is required.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate with customers.
• 3+ years' experience in field service technician/engineering on agricultural equipment.
• Independent in completing tasks with strong ad-hoc decision making.
• Ability to travel within region and occasional overnight travel.
• Must read and interpret parts and machine schematics.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site diagnostics, service, repairs, and maintenance on CLAAS equipment.
• Explain maintenance or repair concerns to customers and document on work orders.
• Collaborate with Parts to maintain seasonal inventory and stocking processes.
• Schedule daily work assignments with Technical Support Center; travel as required.
• Establish and implement effective stocking and service programs; support setups and adjustments.
