Job summary

CLAAS FARMPOINT in Fargo, ND is seeking a Resident Technician to diagnose, repair and maintain CLAAS equipment on-site and in customers’ shops. You will operate with autonomy, providing expert service and delivering top-tier customer experiences.

Fully equipped service trucks are provided to enable efficient field work. The role requires strong troubleshooting skills, 3+ years in field service or engineering on agricultural equipment, and a customer-facing mindset.

Qualifications

3+ years’ experience in field service technician or engineering roles on agricultural equipment.
Experience in high-visibility customer-facing roles with troubleshooting methods and tools.
Comfortable working autonomously and making sound recommendations.
Strong reading of parts and machine schematics.

Responsibilities

Perform on-site diagnostics, service, repairs, and maintenance on CLAAS equipment.
Explain maintenance and repair concerns to customers and document on work orders.
Coordinate with Parts Department for stocking and seasonal inventory.
Support equipment set-up and adjustments.
Promote and sell service programs to customers.
Maintain current knowledge of CLAAS equipment and competitive products.
Complete reports and track time/materials accurately.
Schedule daily work assignments with Technical Support Center.
Travel and overtime during peak seasons.
