Job summary

CLAAS FARMPOINT in Fargo, ND seeks a Resident Technician to diagnose, repair and maintain CLAAS equipment on-site and in customer shops. You will work autonomously within guardrails, deliver high-quality service and represent the CLAAS brand to customers.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in field service or engineering for agricultural gear, a diesel technology credential or equivalent, strong troubleshooting skills, and willingness to travel regionally with a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in a field service technician / engineering role working on agricultural equipment.
• Ag Diesel Technology Degree highly preferred, or degree in Diesel Technology or equivalent work experience.
• Must be able to travel within region and have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Perform complex on-site diagnostics, service, repairs, and maintenance on CLAAS equipment; in-shop repairs as needed.
• Explain maintenance issues to customers and document on work orders.
• Assist stocking processes with Parts Department to manage seasonal inventory.
• Support machinery set-up and adjustments.
• Promote and sell service programs directly to customers.
• Maintain current knowledge of CLAAS products and competitors.
• Complete reports and time/material accounting; schedule daily work with Technical Support Center.
• Travel; may include overnight/weekend duties during peak times.
