Job summary

CLAAS FARMPOINT in Fargo, ND, is seeking a Resident Technician to perform on-site diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on CLAAS equipment. The role emphasizes exceptional customer service and autonomous work within company guardrails, with fully-equipped service trucks provided.

You will review and explain maintenance needs to customers, document work orders, and coordinate with the Parts Department for stocking. Occasional travel and flexible hours are expected in peak seasons.

Qualifications

3+ years’ experience in a field service technician role working on agricultural equipment.
Experience in high visibility, customer-facing roles and troubleshooting.
Knowledge of CLAAS equipment and parts is a plus.

Responsibilities

Perform complex on-site diagnostics, service, repairs, and maintenance on CLAAS equipment.
Explain maintenance or repair concerns to customers and document on work orders.
Schedule daily work assignments with the Technical Support Center.
Travel within region; overnight travel and extended hours during peak seasons may be required.
Maintain current mechanical and technical knowledge of CLAAS and competitive products.
