Job summary

CLAAS FARMPOINT in Jamestown, ND is seeking a Resident Diesel Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain CLAAS equipment on-site and at customer locations. You'll work autonomously within guardrails, delivering top-notch service and representing the CLAAS brand.

The role requires 3+ years in field service for agricultural equipment, a diesel technology background, strong customer-facing skills, and the ability to travel within the region. Fully equipped service trucks are provided.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in a field service role on agricultural equipment.
• Experience in high visibility customer-facing roles.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform on-site diagnostics, service, repairs, and maintenance on CLAAS equipment.
• Explain maintenance and repair concerns to customers and document on work orders.
• Assist with stocking processes with Parts Department to maintain seasonal inventory.
• Support machinery setup and adjustments.
• Promote and sell service programs to customers.
• Maintain up-to-date mechanical knowledge of CLAAS and competitors.
• Complete reports and track time/materials.
• Coordinate daily work assignments with Technical Support Center.
• Travel and overtime during peak seasons.
