Job summary

The Michelle Martin Group is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist for a temporary assignment in Fredericksburg, VA. You’ll provide hardware, software, and network support to users, resolving issues quickly to keep classrooms and offices running smoothly.

Responsibilities include configuring devices, supporting Windows and macOS, managing tickets, and coordinating with Help Desk staff. A strong customer-service approach and professional certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting, repairing, installing, upgrading, and networking hardware and software.
• Experience supporting Windows and Apple operating systems and Active Directory.
• Strong communication and documentation skills; customer-service oriented.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, troubleshoot, and repair desktops, laptops, printers, and peripherals.
• Support Windows and Apple OS, hardware, and software.
• Configure devices for wired/wireless networks and AD environments.
• Provide in-person, phone, and remote assistance.
• Maintain accurate support tickets and track progress.
