L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Desktop Support Technician for on-site support in Orange, VA. You will partner with stakeholders to evaluate needs, recommend IT solutions, and ensure uptime across manufacturing, engineering, and business teams.

The role requires strong analytical skills, solid networking knowledge, and the ability to lead improvement efforts in a fast-paced industrial environment. A high school diploma with extensive experience or an associate degree is expected.

Qualifications

Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent with 8+ years of experience or 2 years post-secondary/Associates Degree with 4+ years of experience.

Responsibilities

Understand users' technology needs and determine required tools.
Identify and recommend hardware, software, and technology solutions.
Evaluate technology risks and propose solutions to reduce disruption.
Provide guidance to teams on technology decisions and solutions.
Review existing technology and recommend improvements and standards.
Determine when technology should be purchased, upgraded, or retired.
Compare options and recommend best-fit solutions.
Lead technology improvement efforts to reduce operational risk.
Analyze system performance and capacity to identify root causes of issues.
Recommend improvements to configurations and processes for reliability and security.
