Axiom Technologies is seeking an on-site Desktop Support Engineer to deliver timely IT support at the DeForest, WI client site. You will triage and resolve issues, coordinate with technicians, and ensure service delivery aligns with client policies. Immediate start available for a capable contractor.

The role focuses on Windows environments, hardware troubleshooting, and basic LAN connectivity support, with strong emphasis on communication and coordinating with the service delivery team.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and desktop environments.
• Experience in hardware troubleshooting and replacement.
• Basic understanding of networking (LAN connectivity, switches, routers).
• Ability to diagnose and resolve desktop, printer, and peripheral issues.
• Good communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site desktop and IT support for end users at the client location.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Windows desktops, laptops, and peripherals.
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware, operating systems, and enterprise software applications.
• Support network connectivity issues, including LAN troubleshooting.
• Assist with device setup, replacement, and hardware installations.
• Perform basic network troubleshooting using console access when required.
• Document service activities and communicate updates to the service delivery team.
• Follow client IT policies and security procedures while performing on-site tasks.
