Job summary

Ticketmaster is seeking a Systems Engineer III for Data Center Operations in Ashburn, VA. The role focuses on overseeing hardware deployments, firmware management, monitoring, and lifecycle tasks within a 24/7 mission-critical data center.

You will interact with internal service teams and cross-functional groups to ensure high availability. Ideal candidates have 7+ years in Enterprise Data Centers, strong troubleshooting, and certifications (Server+/Network+).

Qualifications

• Must have 7+ years supporting Enterprise Data Centers.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and hardware expertise.
• Deep knowledge of modern server and networking hardware (Dell, HP, Cisco, Arista).
• Server+ and Network+ certifications or equivalent experience.
• Scripting or programming knowledge (Python/Go) is a plus.
• Experience with Linux environments and remote access tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide expertise on hardware deployments and rack hardware layouts.
• Collaborate with Data Center Asset Management to keep asset data up to date.
• Coordinate with service and network teams on port configurations and installations.
• Lead rack and hardware installation projects; decommission outdated equipment.
• Support hardware lifecycle tasks and incident response in a 24/7 environment.
• Monitor hardware health through the monitoring platform; manage firmware updates.
• Assist with capacity planning and data center power infrastructure awareness.
