Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician in Sterling, VA to support mission-critical data center infrastructure. You will perform hands-on maintenance, monitoring, and troubleshooting of electrical and mechanical systems to ensure 24/7 availability.

The role requires flexibility for shifts, on-call rotations, and collaboration with contractors. You will gain experience with state-of-the-art facilities, safety protocols, and change management documentation.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of electrical or mechanical experience.
• 2+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience.
• Ability to work on a flexible schedule including days, nights, and/or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Daily building rounds to monitor and record information from electrical, mechanical, and fire/life safety equipment.
• Monitor Building Management Systems (BMS) and Electrical Power Management System (EPMS).
• Assist in troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal Service Level Agreements (SLA).
• Perform rack installs and decommissioning within internal SLA.
• Perform PM, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and repair of electrical and mechanical equipment.
