Job summary

Ampcus Inc. is seeking an experienced On-Site Service Engineer to support enterprise data center servers and AI infrastructure.

This role involves hands-on installation, diagnosis, and repair of server hardware in customer environments, focusing on reliability and rapid issue resolution. Ideal candidates will have strong server hardware experience, familiarity with BIOS/firmware, iDRAC/iLO, and Linux, and be able to communicate clearly with customers and internal teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience supporting enterprise servers, data center hardware, or similar infrastructure.
• Direct experience working on server hardware: installation, removal, diagnosis, repair and replacement of components.
• Experience with hardware diagnostics, BIOS/firmware, and server management tools.
• Familiarity with Linux or similar operating systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site technical support for Dell PowerEdge and other enterprise server hardware.
• Diagnose and resolve server hardware failures and system issues to minimize customer downtime.
• Perform hands-on hardware installation, removal, replacement, and repair of components (memory, CPUs, power supplies, storage, RAID/HBA, NICs, PCIe, GPUs).
• Perform rack-and-stack activities, server installation, cabling, component swaps, and hardware configuration.
• Troubleshoot issues involving server hardware, BIOS/firmware, operating systems, and hardware diagnostics.
• Execute reactive break/fix services and preventive maintenance according to established procedures.
• Escalate complex technical issues and participate in on-call rotations.
