Job summary

Ampcus Inc. is seeking an On-Site Service Engineer to provide hands-on support for enterprise data center servers and hardware, including AI infrastructure. You will diagnose, repair, replace, and maintain server hardware in data centers or customer environments.

Prior AI experience not required; focus is on enterprise hardware expertise. Role involves on-site work in Pryor, OK, with occasional on-call rotations and weekly client touchpoints.

Qualifications

• 3+ years hands-on experience supporting enterprise servers and data center hardware.
• Direct hardware installation, diagnosis, repair or replacement.
• Experience with memory, CPUs, power supplies, storage, RAID/HBA, NICs, PCIe components, GPUs.
• Experience with rack-mounted servers in data center, field service, or customer environment.
• Strong understanding of server hardware architecture and troubleshooting methodology.
• Familiarity with Linux or similar operating systems.
• Able to lift 50 lbs, travel to customer sites, and work on-call schedules.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Provide on-site support for Dell PowerEdge and other enterprise server hardware.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware failures to minimize customer downtime.
• Perform hardware installation, removal, replacement, and repair (DIMMs, CPUs, PSUs, disks, RAID, NICs, GPUs).
• Rack-and-stack, cabling, component swaps, and hardware configuration.
• Troubleshoot BIOS/firmware, operating systems, and hardware diagnostics.
• Perform firmware/BIOS updates and use Dell iDRAC or comparable tools.
• Execute reactive break/fix and preventive maintenance.
• Document service activities, hardware replacements, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions.
• Escalate complex technical issues when appropriate.
• Participate in on-call rotations and weekly client touchpoints.
• Attend a weekly touchpoint call with the client team after beginning the engagement.
