Job summary

SRS Distribution Inc. in Grand Rapids, MI is hiring for a Counter Sales associate to manage order entry, pricing, and customer service at the sales counter. You will handle transactions, provide product recommendations, and coordinate deliveries to ensure customer satisfaction.

The role involves inventory support, collaboration with warehouse and sales teams, and maintaining a clean, safe workspace. On-site work Monday–Friday with overtime during peak periods.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred
• 2+ years in customer service or sales; experience with order entry and POS systems
• Proficiency with computers, internet navigation, and basic software applications
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in warehouse/office environments
• Clear, courteous communication in person, by phone, and by email

Responsibilities

• Interact with customers to provide exceptional service at the counter
• Accurately process orders and quotes using company systems
• Provide product recommendations and pricing information
• Coordinate and schedule local deliveries and logistics
• Assist with inventory accuracy, cycle counts, picking, packing, and shipping/receiving
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
• Collaborate with warehouse and sales teams to meet customer needs
• Overtime may be required during peak seasons
