Job summary

Turner Construction Company seeks an experienced Environmental Health & Safety professional to partner with the EH&S team and project crews on a single construction project in Lancaster, PA. This role enforces safety programs, educates teams on environmental and hazardous materials handling, and ensures compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

You will lead safety training, assess exposures, develop action plans, and drive initiatives to reduce incidents while coordinating with HQ

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety/Engineering or related field and 4+ years of safety experience on construction sites.
• CHST certification required or within 2 years of appointment.
• OSHA 30-hour training and current First Aid/CPR/BBP certifications.
• Knowledge of Federal, State, and local EH&S regulations.
• Ability to identify exposures and lead corrective actions.
• Willingness to travel to project sites.

Responsibilities

• Lead EH&S on a single construction project following HQ EH&S policy.
• Provide safety leadership and allocate time/resources for the project.
• Assess safety practices and exposures; develop and implement mitigation plans.
• Train staff, subcontractors, and Turner trade employees on EH&S programs.
• Promote safe work practices and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Develop and enforce project Safety Program and related policies.
