Job summary

CEC Companies is seeking a Safety Coordinator to implement safety programs, conduct field walks, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee audits at project sites. The role focuses on coaching workers to foster safe behaviors and a strong safety culture in a safety-sensitive environment.

Responsibilities include ORM board development, daily safety reports, incident investigations, and safety orientations for new hires, with potential for shift flexibility and overtime based on project needs.

Qualifications

• Degree or extensive training in environmental health and safety discipline is a plus.
• 1–3 years in construction safety experience (electrical, mechanical safety preferred).
• OSHA 30 Construction required; OSHA 510/511 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist and coach Foremen in completing ORM boards and Job Hazard Analyses; document ORM boards with photos.
• Work day and/or night shifts, overtime and weekends as project schedule requires.
• Submit Site Safety Audit reports daily with findings, deficiencies, corrective actions and photos.
• Interact with field personnel and site supervision to address safety observations and resolutions.
• Assist with site safety orientations for new employees joining the project.
• Assist in incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Periodic audits of tools and equipment to ensure proper maintenance.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety rules and project requirements.
• Perform related duties to ensure efficient safety processes across the project site.
