Job summary

CEC Companies is seeking a Safety Coordinator to drive safety programs on construction sites. You will perform field walks, ensure regulatory compliance, and develop corrective actions while mentoring crews to foster safe behaviors and a strong safety culture.

You will coordinate ORM/JHA activities, conduct audits, lead incident investigations, and provide safety orientations. This role requires travel to sites, strong communication, and the ability to work day and night shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree or extensive training in environmental health and safety.
• 1-3 years construction safety experience.
• OSHA 30 Construction required; OSHA 510/511 preferred.
• CPR/FA certified.
• Bilingual abilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist and coach foremen in completing ORM boards and JHA development.
• Submit site safety audit reports daily with findings and photos.
• Assist with incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Perform periodic audits of power tools and equipment.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety requirements.
• Provide on-site safety orientations for new employees.
• Assist with project site safety coordination and trainings.
• Maintain safety documentation and records.
