Job summary

CEC Companies seeks a Safety Coordinator to implement safety programs, conduct field walks, and oversee regulatory compliance across project sites. The role involves coaching crews to foster a strong safety culture on active construction sites.

The position is safety-sensitive and requires coordinating audits, training, and corrective actions while ensuring compliance with NFPA, OSHA and industry standards at locations including El Paso, Texas.

Qualifications

• Degree or extensive training in environmental health and safety discipline a plus.
• 1 - 3 years in construction safety experience (electrical, mechanical safety experience preferred).
• OSHA 30 Construction required; OSHA 510/511 preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist and coach Crew Foreman/General Foremen with ORM boards and Job Hazard Analyses; photograph ORM board daily.
• Submit Site Safety Audit reports daily with findings, hazards, and corrective actions.
• Interact with field personnel and site supervision to address safety observations and provide resolution.
• Deliver site safety orientations for new employees joining the project.
• Assist with incident investigations and root cause analysis.
• Perform periodic audits of tools and equipment to ensure good working order.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance with safety rules and project requirements.
• Perform other related duties to support efficient safety processes.
