Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager II to lead the quality control program on large-scale projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or federal work.

You will write the project QC plan, run three-phase control meetings, supervise inspectors and technicians, and be the primary point for test results and NCRs with owner representatives. This role requires a valid driver’s license and readiness to work on active job sites.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
• USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC special inspector or NICET Level III certification.
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs.
• Writes clearly and holds the line in a room of superintendents and owner representatives.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians; assign daily coverage and review their reports.
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings.
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors.
