Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager II to oversee the quality control program on large or multi-phase projects, including heavy civil, industrial, or federal work under USACE/NAVFAC quality requirements.

You write the project quality control plan, run the three-phase control meetings, and stand across from the owner’s QA representative, answering for every test result and nonconformance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection.
• Certificate(s) USACE CQM-C and ICC Special Inspector or NICET III required.
• Experience with USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner QC programs.
• Excellent written and verbal communication under tight schedules.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and obtain owner approval.
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for features of work.
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians.
• Assign daily coverage and review field reports.
• Manage nonconformance and corrective-action processes with documented NCRs.
• Coordinate lab testing, mix designs, and material certifications across subs.
