Job summary

Construction Material Testing is seeking a Construction Quality Manager II to run the quality control program on large, multi-phase projects with heavy civil, industrial, or federal work under USACE or NAVFAC quality requirements.

You will write the project quality control plan, lead phase meetings, supervise inspectors, coordinate testing, manage NCRs, and report data to owner representatives. This role requires a valid driver’s license and field presence on active jobsites.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in construction quality control or special inspection
• USACE CQM-C certificate plus ICC special inspector or NICET Level III certification
• Experience on USACE, NAVFAC, DOT, or industrial owner quality programs
• Writes clearly and holds the line in a room of superintendents and owner representatives

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain the project quality control plan and get it accepted by the owner or agency
• Lead preparatory, initial, and follow-up phase meetings for every definable feature of work
• Supervise QC inspectors and testing technicians
• assign daily coverage and review their reports
• Run the nonconformance and corrective-action process and present it in owner QA/QC meetings
• Coordinate laboratory testing, mix design approvals, and material certifications across subcontractors
